Over Saturated Private Label Rights Content?

February 3rd 2009 | Posted in PLR, Private Label Rights

There are private label rights material in almost every major niche now, which makes it very easy to get a new site up and running in no time. But there is an issue with that… and that is that there is so much niche PLR that you are not sure what is new and what is old.

When it comes to niche PLR content though, a lot of the times the older content is still very relevant, it doesn’t go out of date as quickly as the Internet marketing related private label rights.

But if you do not intend to edit the content before displaying it on your website, have you made sure that that same content is not easily available on one of your competitors websites? I don’t think your visitors would be too happy to learn that you are blogging the same content as your competitor, when they thought it was original content.

Does this happen a lot in the popular niches where ther are thousands of different PLR articles and blog posts? I don’t know if it does or not. All I know is that there are thousands of marketers who would love to use that PLR material, and many of them will not edit or change the content before posting it.

It’s an issue that I think we all need to consider before using private label rights content, whether it’s in the financial niche, cooking niche, or the Internet marketing niche. There’s always a place for PLR, but we just need to find the right place and make sure it’s always benefiting our website visitors.

Do you feel the same way? Do you think this is an issue that we need to worry about? Post a comment below, or post a Twitter comment @PLRContent.

I don’t think there is too much PLR out there. I am fairly new to PLR and haven’t used any in my blogs yet. I have in a couple of flips, but it doesn’t seem to saturated to me.

Besides, if you think it is crowded now, just wait another three to five years. With all the new bloggers coming online everyday it is going to get pretty hectic in the PLR field.

This increased competition and awareness also creates more opportunities for the crafty and quick to act.

Thanks for the comment Freddie.

You are absolutely correct that it’s no where near being overly crowded yet.

I think the main point (that you also touched on) is that smart marketers will know what to do to be different and use PLR content in a way that will leave the lazy marketers behind.

Hi, Joel!

You make some excellent points here! PLR will never be overused for smart marketers, because they know that taking the time to make it over into their own unique products & posts will pay much bigger dividends over time.

I think that it is good to have good PLR out there. I also think that we must all realize that there are a lot of people with the opportunity to use the same PLR and that we have to make it our own by changing it around. I for one am glad there is good PLR available.

Hi Joel,

I think that PLR is great for many uses. I am not sure that there is to much out there. But there is a lot.

I get ads every day offering 2-3 PLR niche sites every month.

I am not sure how anyone can maintain that many niche sites. I really don’t think that it would be possible without PLR or outsourcing.

I may be wrong but to me PLR is just outsourcing packaged in a neat form so that you don’t have to go out and find an author.

Thanks,

Lonnie
