I use both and what I have found is that using good Article Spinner that allows you to spin complete sentences and not just words or combine both – can do wonders to a content creation process

Especially when its done by someone else on your behalf.

Another great post, but I’m not surprised, Joel – you and Nicole are two of the best sources for PLR and PLR information online today!

One other option I’d add, that really combines the two systems – buy good PLR and then pay a ghostwriter to rewrite them to make them unique. This gives you great content at a lower cost than straight ghostwriting, while not taking you away from your two main tasks – list-building and driving traffic into your funnels.

Great article! But then again I’m a big fan of Nicole’s too! I have yet to receive anything but the highest quality from EasyPLR.com.

I also agree that PLR should always be re-written. It should always be written in your voice. I personally use PLR to “get me started”. It gives me a topic to write about and well, I’m too much of a “rambler” to let it as is. I always have to add my imput to it too.

So to sum up a long story short, I use PLR to get me started with the idea/topic and to give me the “basics” of the article or whatever it is. Then I elaborate from there.

Your article did a good job comparing ghost written and PLR articles for content.

Which ever route is chosen, I think the pieces need to be edited so they are in your ‘voice’. No one thinks and writes exactly like you and the goal is to brand YOU.

Interesting question.

I personally prefer plr articles over ghost writers simply because it’s more cost effective and I can exercise better control over the content.

When you’re looking for solid blog content that can be monetized, *quality* PLR is a fantastic shortcut. (Of course, crap content – whether provided by a ghostwriter or a PLR provider should just be trashed.)

While PLR articles may be sold to thousands, you can still make them unique and submit to article directories by using a good article spinner

I would have to go with the PLR on this one.
Even if the PLR article is poorly written, as long as the research is there, it can be better for you. It makes your brain work a little harder to get it correct.
When you are first trying out a new ghostwriter, unless the topic is something you are particularly familiar with, you have to research for yourself to be sure the information is correct.
After all, your rep is on the line when you post the article.

I am a big fan of Nicole and PLR. With as much as you would have to pay for a ghostwriter, I am just not there yet. And besides, I have had no problem with well written PLR. You just have to be sure of your choice of where to get the articles.
